While on a hike in beautiful Oregon one day, two sisters were talking about the struggles of teaching their kids to ride bikes.  While one sister had older kids and had already taught them, the other was looking for a better way.  Together, as they hiked and talked, they came up with a new, fantastic way to teach kids to ride.  Bike Buddy was born!

Karen Ostrye is the mother of two teenage boys and an attorney in Hood River Oregon.  Karen attended Lewis and Clark School of Law while raising young children.  She is the ultimate multi-tasker!  Karen loves nothing more than a nice long bike ride on a summer day in Oregon.  She also enjoys camping and hiking as well as a friendly game of soccer every now and then.

Rebecca Hunter is the younger of the two sisters and a mother of two small boys.  She attends Portland State University where she is pursuing her degree in Social Work.  Even though she is  a busy Mom, Rebecca still finds time to ride her bike and has been working hard on improving her mountain biking skills.  She also enjoys Geo-caching and playing tennis.  She is very proud that her son Will learned to ride his 2-wheeler at only 3 years old with the Bike Buddy.
